My Story

Since 2013, Holly has served ABSC in the roles of CFO and CHRO and provides marketing and business development support.  Her fiscal stewardship has facilitated ABSC's continued upward growth trajectory, enabling ABSC to obtain a commercial facility in 2021.  Incorporating best case practices and investing in staff development has contributed to the staff retention rate of 100%.  She is an advocate for innovation, diversity, efficiency, and excellence.

A well respected non-profit executive, she was the CFO for Project Community Connections Inc. (PCCI) until 2022, a tenure of over eleven years.  Holly’s core focus was on five major areas: finance and accounting, grants management, human resources, risk management and business development support.  An eye for financial health and sustainability, combined with an extensive background in government funding sources, Holly ensured compliance with all applicable governing requirements, and was an integral part of the annual A-133 audit, FAC uploads, and program audits.  Leading the entity through substantial growth during her tenure, PCCI saw revenues climb 1,400%, and staffing levels rise 1,200%.  Collaborating with senior executives and staff, PCCI obtained an initial, three year CARF accreditation in 2021.  Thrive Sweet Auburn, a 117 unit affordable housing development in downtown Atlanta, will be opening in late 2022, the culmination of years of planning between partners PCCI and Mercy Housing.

Before joining PCCI, Holly was the Director of Accounting for Progressive Redevelopment, Inc. (PRI), where she managed accounting and financial reporting for nine development entities and four corporate affiliates (three of which were non-profits), holding assets in excess of $130 million. She worked as a liaison between project development, property management, supportive services, and asset management teams. Prior to PRI, she worked for a private investment group supervising multi-state commercial and residential properties.

Holly received her senior certified professional certification from the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM-SCP) in 2016.

A renewed focus on her literary portfolio, she founded Southern Holly in 2022, a blog focused on telling stories of joy, despair, laughter, and of course, redemption.  She finds inspiration in the daily wrestling with her garden, the changing of seasons, and cooking to the sound of her eclectic mix of music.  She lives with her husband and two children in the metro Atlanta area.
